About Me

My photo
Fishingken
Melksham, United Kingdom
As someone who has been fishing since the age 12, I have always kept a record of my catches, so writing a blog has come quite naturally. Much of my time is now spent match fishing the south west commercials, with favourites being Todber Manor and Ivy House. However, I still have some river kit for the occasional visit to my local Bristol Avon which is just 5 mins from home. Fishing the float has always been a favourite method, whether paste fishing in the summer or corn over pellet in the winter. More recently fishing the method feeder has played a bigger part in my catches, particularly at Todber and even the occasional visit to Shearwater or Durleigh and feel a lot more comfortable fishing this way than I used to. Like everyone I have gone through periods where I haven’t enjoyed my fishing and even gave up for 18 months. Now, I am much more relaxed and just enjoy getting out catching a few fish, as well as the banter. This blog is just a record of my thoughts on the day, so if you are expecting any great insight you may be disappointed, but good or bad I hope to provide an honest assessment of my day.
